OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMrs. Mary Judith Cecere, 82, died on Monday, August 3, 2015 in Livingston. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, on Friday, August 6 at 10:30 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, (), 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Born in Manchester, N.H., Judy grew up in Newark and moved to West Caldwell 40 years ago.

She had a BA in Music from Caldwell College and a Masters in Education from Seton Hall University.

A lifelong pianist and organist, Judy was a member of the American Guild of Organists and served (along with her husband, Ron) as Music Minister at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona for 25 years, retiring in 2013.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald P. Cecere, her loving daughter, Rachel Cecere, her siblings, The Very Rev. Martin J. Mager, OSB, Genevieve Mager and dear family friend John Filippini.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Building Fund of Our Lady of the Lake Church or to the St. Barnabas Hospice would be appreciated.
