FirstPresChoirThe temperatures outside might have been nearing the triple digits on Wednesday, July 29, but inside the First Presbyterian Church of Verona at 10 Fairview Avenue the temperature was cool and the atmosphere was festive as new Director of Music Diane Battersby (third from right above) led the choir in Christmas music. The party/rehearsal was to get an early start on the holiday cantata that the choir will be performing at the December 13 church service.

The choir’s next “unofficial” rehearsal will be Wednesday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the church parlor. Anyone interested in singing with the choir, even if just for the holiday season is invited to attend. “Official” choir rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 9 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
