Why should the kids have all the fun? This year, Verona residents ages 18 and up are invited to participate in the Summer Reading Club! Drop by the Verona Public Library at 17 Gould Street to learn about activities and events for adults this summer.
Prizes for Book Lovers: For every book you read between June 20 and August 21, submit a brief written review and receive a raffle ticket for the prize of your choice. Prizes include a gift certificate to Ariane Kitchen & Bar, an autographed copy of The Stranger by Harlan Coben, and a Kindle E-reader. The more you read, the more chances you have to win!
Please join us for a book discussion group on Thursday, August 20 at 7 p.m. (the prize drawing for book review entries will also be held this evening). Pick up a copy of Lawrence in Arabia: War, Deceit, Imperial Folly and the Making of the Modern Middle East by Scott Anderson. To add to the discussion, we’ll show the documentary Lawrence of Arabia: the Battle for the Arab World on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided for each evening.
Please visit the Library’s website for all the latest information or call (973) 857-4848.
