WINGS–Women Inspiring, Nurturing, Giving Strength and Support–the Verona-based cancer support group for women, has a session coming up this Thursday, May 14.
The topic is “Living With Uncertainty-Our Emotional Responses” and the facilitator is Randi Cohen MSN, APRN, B.C., Psychiatric Nurse Practioner.
Cohen is a psychotherapist and provides psychotherapy and medication management to individuals, couples and families with a special interest in psycho-oncology. The session will explore and discuss the many emotional responses we have when dealing with cancer diagnosis, treatment and living with cancer. Cohen has been helping oncology patients for many years with expertise in reduction of stress and medication management.
WINGS meets at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Avenue, from 7 to 9 p.m.
