Barnstormers Softball Off To Strong Start

SONY DSCThe Verona 12U Barnstormers softball team is off to a perfect start this season, and competed in the annual Sparta Spring Warmup Friendly Tournament on Saturday, April 18. They compiled a 3-0 record, besting the Lakeland Stingers (18-0), Waldwick, NY Wildcats (11-3), and Jefferson (7-2). Stellar shut-down pitching by Annie Johnson, Lia Tortoriello, and Melanie Naeris baffled opponents, coupled with bats-a-fire and perfect defense by this talented team. Next up for the Barnstormers is the competitive Michelle Fund Tournament this weekend in Pine Brook.
