Mr. Joseph Toscano, 77, died on April 24, 2015 in Florida. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Friday, May 1 at 10:45 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Toscano lived in Union and Verona prior to moving to Trinity, Fla. He was an independent truck driver in New York City for 30 years and retired from Ramp Operations at Continental Airlines, Newark Airport in 2010.

He was very involved in BSA Troop 4, youth activities and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of the Lake Church. He also volunteered for the March of Dimes, New Jersey Special Olympics and at the Missionaries of Charity Soup Kitchen in Newark.

Mr. Toscano is the husband of MaryLou E. Brennan, the father of Kevin B. Toscano, Genevieve Toscano, the grandfather of Rachel Toscano and Allyssa Thompson and the great grandfather of Artemis Toscano. He is also the step-father of Scott Brennan, Sharon Michael, the step-grandfather of Joseph Bielinski, Thomas, Jacob & Katie Brennan and Mikayla, Julianna & Alexa Michael.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Simone Toscano and his son, Jeffery Toscano.

In lieu of flowers donations to Gulfside Center for Hospice, 6630 Kentucky Avenue, New Port Richey, FL 34653 in his memory would be appreciated.
