The Verona Lions Club will present three cash awards of $1,000 each or, depending on the quality of the submissions/actual community service performed, possibly 2 awards for $1500 each, to Verona residents graduating high school this year, 2015, who best exhibit public service to their school, church/temple, or the Township of Verona. The Verona Lions Club’s High School Public Service Award criteria is not based on academic achievement nor financial need but rather exclusively on the student’s “volunteer service”, which is the heart of the Verona Lions Club’s belief and credo: “We Serve”!

The list of volunteer service projects/ activities should include a brief description of the service(s) and the time/ dates involved for adequate evaluation by the VLC Awards committee.
Verona residents graduating from out-of-Verona high schools who would like to participate for consideration of their community service, should send their list of service, as described above, to:
Verona Lions Club, P.O. Box 38, Verona, NJ 07044 – attn: 2015 High School Scholarship Committee.
