Mr. Brian F. Lawless, 56, died on April 4, 2015 in Summit.
All are invited to gather for a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Tuesday, April 7 at 1 p.m. There will be a reception of friends in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
Born in Orange, Mr. Lawless grew up in Verona and lived in Parsippany for 21 years prior to returning to Verona seven years ago. He graduated from Verona High School in 1977 and was a sales rep for Highlander Equipment Co. in Somerset.
Mr. Lawless was a professional skier and on the US World Cup Ski Team starting in 1979. Later in life he raced downhill mountain bikes and was ranked 3rd in the US and 6th in the world. Mr. Lawless was formerly active with Parsippany UNICO.
He is the husband of Marisa Vosa, the father of Brian Lawless, Jr. and the son of Joan and the late Frederick T. Lawless, Sr. He is also survived by his siblings, Leslie Bray, Fred Lawless, Jr., Laura Tyson and his stepchildren, Francesca Laracca and Matteo Laracca.
