Paul LoVerme, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Verona, has been voted a “Top Doctor” by his peers in New Jersey Monthly magazine. Out of 23,444 New Jersey doctors polled in 2014, Dr. LoVerme was one of 989 to be named to the esteemed list, marking the 12th year in a row he has received the distinction.
To compose the “Top Doctors” list each year, New Jersey Monthly sends a questionnaire to all certified physicians in the state that asks whom they would visit or send a family member to for particular medical specialties (i.e. plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatology, family medicine, etc.). Once answers to the survey are collected, peer nominations are counted, and a preliminary list of the top vote-getters is formulated. An advisory board comprised of several recipients from the previous year then approves the list, and the new “Top Doctors” are revealed in a special edition of the publication.
Regarding this year’s nomination, Dr. LoVerme says he is both excited and appreciative. “I’m obviously thrilled to receive this recognition, but I’m also humbled by the fact that other doctors pick me as someone they would come to if they had a problem and were in need of a reconstructive procedure — or a desire for cosmetic surgery. I strive to deliver quality care and achieve excellent results for every individual who seeks my help, and I’m truly grateful my dedication is recognized not only by my patients, but also by my peers.”
