Mrs. Elena Masucci, 84, died on January 20, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. A funeral mass will be offered in St. Lucy’s Church, Newark on Monday, January 26 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Born in San Massimo, Italy, Mrs. Masucci came to the U.S. in 1947 and lived in Newark, Belleville and Verona prior to moving to Old Bridge in 2009.
She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Luca Masucci, the loving mother of Maria Cifelli (and her husband, Gino), Lisa Specchio (and her husband, Joseph) and the late Joseph Masucci. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Masucci will be affectionately remembered for her love of family and cooking.
