MeadowbrookThe Verona and Cedar Grove Historical Societies have let us know that on Saturday, December 6 from 2 to 4 p.m., there will be a book signing for Memories Of The Meadowbrook, which recalls the time when Cedar Grove was the center of Big Band music in America.

Older Verona residents can recall seeing Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Harry James and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra at the Meadowbrook, which was converted into a church some years back.

The book signing will take place at the Canfield-Morgan House near the intersection of Pompton and Fairview avenues, which will also be part of the Essex County Holiday House Tour this Saturday and Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. both days.
