Every year, Laning Avenue School celebrates Veterans Day by honoring military veterans affiliated with the students at the school. On Tuesday, November 11, the veterans and Laning families were treated to a medley of patriotic songs sung by the students and arranged by music teacher Vincent Peri. The school’s principal, Julie DiGiacomo, and administrative assistant, Donna Buro, also helped to organize the assembly.
This year, Retired Army Colonel Paul Monacelli was the guest speaker. The SCA distributed flowers donated by Hillcrest Farms to the veterans.
