Ned Bolcar, captain of the 1988 Notre Dame championship football team, and Kevin Freeman, a two-time NCAA basketball champion, will be the headliners at a Wednesday, October 15, event to benefit the campaign fund of Verona Town Council member Michael Nochimson.

Bolcar, who went on to play for the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins, and Freeman, who played basketball overseas and now works at his alma mater, the University of Connecticut, are both natives of New Jersey.

The event will be held at The Grove, 691 Pompton Avenue in Cedar Grove, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Nochimson is encouraging families to bring their young athletes to meet with the champions and be inspired by them. The suggested donation is $150 per family, with gold and platinum level sponsorships available for $300 and $500 respectively.

RSVPs are needed by Monday, October 13. Contact Nochimson at 201-247-5420 or email [email protected].Bolcar-Freeman
