Verona Troop 20228 - Lilov Fencing AcademyVerona Girl Scout Troop 20228, which is based at F.N. Brown School, recently got an introduction to the sport of fencing.

They visited Lilov Fencing Academy in Cedar Grove, which does free demonstrations for youth groups and schools in the area. “All of us were really interested in fencing and nobody knew that Lilov existed or how big of a sport fencing is in our area,” said troop leader Crystal Bichalski.

The class was led by Michael McTigue, who is also the head coach of Montclair High School’s fencing team. “We were all impressed by his skill and instruction,” Bichalski said. “I’ve been getting tons of compliments from parents since the class ended.”
