The Paper Mill Playhouse has created a service to help high school students looking to study theater or musical theater in college. Called Paper Mill Prep, it combines a two-day seminar on identifying possible colleges with audition coaching.
The “College Discovery” seminar, which is open to students and their parents, takes place on Sunday, September 7 and 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Millburn theater. These sessions will introduce high school juniors and seniors to possible theater and musical theater degrees available, and review the audition process. The seminar costs $300 per family and you can reserve seats by contacting coordinator Jason Gillis at 973-315-1668 or [email protected].
Following the seminar, individual students may also opt to prepare for their college audition through private coaching sessions with Paper Mill Prep faculty.
