Friday’s weather cut short the H.B. Whitehorne musicians’ participation in Music in the Parks, but the awards have rained down on them anyway.
The White Band was awarded first place, with a rating of “excellent”, and the Maroon Band received a similarly high rating. Gold Band won first place in its category with a rating of “superior”; the Jazz Band won first place with a rating of “superior” and was also recognized as Best Overall Jazz Ensemble.
As for the middle school’s vocalists, both the Acoustics and HB Voices won third place in their respective categories, each with a rating of “excellent”.
