Hockey’s DeCandia Named Essex Player Of The Year

DeCandia-AOW2The Star Ledger has named Verona High School senior Dylan DeCandia the Essex County ice hockey player of the year.

The paper’s write-up of DeCandia says in part:

DeCandia shined on the ice and was at the face of the rebirth of Verona-Glen Ridge hockey. As a dynamic playmaker with great stick-handling skills and a rifle of a shot, he scored 51 goals while dishing out 17 assists and helping VGR to a 17-6-3 record.
