MyVeronaNJ.com readers have been telling us since noon that the southbound lane of Mt. Prospect Avenue has been closed, and now we finally know why.
The Verona Police Department just sent out a Nixle alert that the road is closed from Bloomfield Avenue to Woodland Avenue in West Orange until tomorrow morning due to emergency utility line repair.
The northbound lane from West Orange into Verona is open.
If you are headed to Rte. 280, take Lakeside Avenue. If you are going shopping at Essex Green, take Lakeside to Woodland, which is by the West Orange fire station.
