The Verona girls Suburban basketball team plays for the championship tonight, Friday, February 28 at the Verona Community Center. The game against Livingston starts at 6:30 p.m. and the team hopes Verona will turn out to cheer them on.
The girls got into the finals after defeating a Caldwell/West Caldwell team last Friday 22-1. They finished the regular season 12-0 with a 28-16 win over the then second place Nutley team on February 18.
