Erik-ShimonaskiMr. Erik G. Shimonaski, 42, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at his home in Verona. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the Prout Funeral Home Friday evening.

Born in Summit, Mr. Shimonaski was a lifelong Verona resident. He was a loader for Waste Management of New Jersey in Elizabeth for 22 years and a member of Teamster Local 125 – Wayne.

Mr. Shimonaski was the loving son of Gerard and Signe-Marie Shimonaski, beloved brother of Kristine Liska (and her husband Patrick) and devoted uncle of Brittany and Matt Liska.
