Bruce-WilliamsDavid Bruce Williams, Volunteer
In the last three decades in Verona, you would have been hard pressed to find a civic event that didn’t involve Bruce Williams. He was assistant scoutmaster for Verona Troop 2, a cubmaster for Pack 1, a president of the Verona Jaycees, and a Pit Crew chair for the Verona Band Parents. He led clean-up crews in Verona Park and pancake breakfasts, and perhaps most notably, he drove the pace car for Verona UNICO’s Labor Day 5K race. Williams died in April at age 59. He was remembered in this year’s Labor Day race.
