The Friends of the Verona Public Library are excited to announce that their 31st annual book sale will be from Thursday, December 5 through Monday, December 9. This extremely popular used book sale features thousands of books and DVDs for adults, teens, and children. Friends of the Verona Public Library members are invited to come on the preview day on Thursday, December 5th from 7 to 8:30 pm for the best selection of books. If you are not a member, feel free to join at the sale – memberships start as low as $10 and are tax deductible.
The sale opens up to the public on Friday, December 6th from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. Children and seniors over the age of 65 get a book for free that afternoon, up to a $2 value. The sale continues on Saturday, December 7th from 10 am to 4:30 pm, and will coincide with Fair in the Square. Sunday, December 8th is the sale’s 50% off day – all books will be half price. The sale will be open from 2 to 4:30 pm. Finally, on Monday, December 9th is the bag sale – fill a bag of books for only $1. Teachers can take books for free all day! The sale hours are 9 am to 8:30 pm on Monday.
The sale is in the Jack Foley room, located on the basement level of the Verona Public Library at 17 Gould Street in Verona. All funds raised by this sale are donated to the Verona Public Library.
