newtown-candlesMrs. Angela Carmen Catania, 80, of Verona, NJ passed away on October 19, 2013 in her birthplace of Buenos Aries, Argentina. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

Angela was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 30, 1932. She lived there for 30 years and was a practicing Midwife. She came to the United States in 1968 and lived in Verona for 45 years where she proudly raised her family.

Angela was the beloved wife of 49 years to the late Raphael Catania, the loving mother of Anna Podgaezky and her husband, Javier, and Ronald Catania and his wife, Gina. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Luke & Mario Catania, her sister Elena Ruffo and her late husband Antonio and her brother Francisco DiMaria and his wife, Irene.

Angela lived her life with the love of each new day, always putting the needs of others before her own. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
