Volleyball Uses Pink Power To Defeat Cedar Grove

Volleyball-Pink-2013Last night was the annual Dig Pink breast cancer research fundraiser for the Verona and Cedar Grove High School volleyball teams. Verona came away with the win this time, defeating the Panthers 25-20 and 25-16.

Verona’s Jackie Brunner led the scoring in kills, with seven, while teammates Eliza Sniatkowski and Nikhita Joshi had six apiece. Paige Ferrell had 10 service points and Alex Luehs had nine and her usual 20-plus assists.

The Hillbilly girls’ record now stands at 9-6. They travel to Montclair on Monday to face a 4-8 Montclair High School squad.
