The Verona High School girls volleyball team fell to Nutley High School on Wednesday afternoon, but quickly regrouped to beat Bloomfield Tech on Thursday.

Nutley had the home court advantage and took Verona 25-7, 25-14, led by Kayla Dowling, who had 12 kills on the afternoon.

It was a different story this afternoon, when Verona extended its season wins to eight by dominating Bloomfield Tech 25-10, 25-15.

Eliza Sniatkowski, this week’s Verona Sports Boosters Senior Athlete of the Week, continued her streak with 11 kills and four service points, while fellow senior Madison Misuro stepped up with eight service points, four aces and six digs. Junior Jackie Brunner had six kills, while Nikhita Joshi had five.
