Junior’s Plan Events For Prospective Members

452437405The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is pleased to announce two upcoming membership events that are open to any women in the community.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2013, the Club will hold a New Members Social that will begin at 8:00 p.m. All prospective members interested in learning more about membership in the Club are encouraged to attend. The evening will include drinks, appetizers and deserts and provide an opportunity to socialize with current and other prospective members.

On Saturday, September 7, 2013, the Club will hold a family social in Verona Park from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This event is open to all prospective members and their families. The event will take place at the picnic tables near the small playground.

The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is a versatile organization that has been involved in social and charitable work since its inception in 1926. The Juniors address Verona’s diverse needs by promoting education, preserving natural resources, encouraging healthy lifestyles, working on behalf of the elderly and people with disabilities, supporting participation in the arts and advocating for
issues of concern to women, children and families.

Prospective members also are welcome at business meetings, which are held the second Wednesday of each month (except April, July, August and December) at 8 p.m. in the Verona Community Center.
