FanAfter a week-long heat wave, your room air conditioners and fans are probably looking for a break. Maybe you need to look for a house with central air.

Since most of Verona’s houses were built before 1960, AC isn’t all that common in single-family homes here. So we decided to comb through the current Verona real estate listings to find those with central air. Both of the Claridge condo towers do, so if you’re buying there, you’re covered.

Which other listings? Take a look at 24 Linden Avenue (3 beds, 1 1/2 baths, flat yard, $390,000), 1 Old Farm Road (3 beds, 3 baths, quiet cul-de-sac, $475,000), 2 Dodd Terrace  (4 beds, 2 1/2 baths, eat-in kitchen, $599,999), 60 Hillside Avenue (5 beds, 3 baths, new construction, $659,300), 35 Mountain Road (5 beds, 3 1/2 baths, original woodwork, master suite, $829,000). And the condo at 2 Wedgewood Drive (1 bed, 1 bath, $174,900), which has been renovated to include what the listing is calling “built-in AC”.

Here’s what else is happening in Verona real estate this weekend:
