Somebody wanted a whole lot more than pizza at Anthony Franco’s last night.
According to the Verona Police Department, thieves cut a hole in the roof of the Pilgrim Plaza business and dropped into the office. Once there, they grabbed an unspecified amount of cash and escaped.
The VPD is working on the case. Chief Doug Huber says that roof-top robberies like this have been very rare in Verona.
