Ivyjean Holloway Mesteller, Former Pine Florist Owner

Veronans with long memories will remember Ivyjean Holloway Mesteller, who opened Pine Florist in Verona in 1947. Mrs. Mesteller, a long-time member of the Verona United Methodist Church, passed away in Maine on May 19. She was 96, and you can read her obituary here.

Mrs. Mesteller’s old greenhouse on Pine Street was briefly revived as a growing space last year by Sprout Food and Farms.
