Benedict1There was something for everyone in Friday’s game between the Verona High School baseball team and St. Benedict’s Prep–unless you were wearing a Gray Bee uniform.

Verona ruled the 12-0 game on Doc Goeltz Field. Junior Matt Rubins went three for three, with three runs and an RBI for his afternoon’s work. Senior Luke Sniatkowski had two runs, two hits and two RBIs. Mike Coppola, Ryan Flood, Chris Guida, Matt McKeown and Jon Tosh all contributed to the scoring. Pitching duties were split between Sniatkowski, Dean DeNicola and Max Vasile.

Verona is now 9-11 on the season. The team travels to Bloomfield today.Benedict2
