Anthony-CodellaIn the off season, Verona High School senior Anthony Codella plays on the Jersey Thunder lacrosse travel team. Thunder is what he has brought to the field for the Maroon & White this spring, and it has earned him the honor of being the Verona Sports Boosters’ Senior Athlete of the Week..

Codella, who plays midfield and attack, is a three-year starter on the lacrosse team. But he has scored most of his career goals this year: He had five goals last week, and seven groundballs. A two-year player on the Hillbilly basketball squad, Codella is also vice president of the senior class.

During the 2012-2013 school year, the Verona Sports Boosters will be recognizing a different senior athlete at Verona High School every week. The Boosters support male and female athletes in all VHS sports through a variety of fundraisers and recognition events.
