The youth baseball and softball season in Verona kicks off on Saturday with the big parade up Bloomfield Avenue to Everett Field.
Kids should meet their team captain at the entrance to Verona Park by 9:30 a.m. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. Once at Everett, the ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by the Town Council and the Filoso family of the Hillcrest Farms garden center.
There will be music at the field, along with a 50/50, Verona Baseball & Softball League apparel, games and more.
