MyVeronaNJ-Budget-ControlSchool Dollars Deadline: Tuesday, March 26, is your last chance to have any influence on the Verona Board of Education’s $28.5 million budget for the 2013-2014 school year.

On March 5, the BOE  approved a tentative budget that calls for a 2.5% tax levy increase, or roughly $136 more per household annually. The BOE had to leave out a proposed security director’s job, $100,000 in tech upgrades, freshman sports and raises for classroom aides.

Sharpen your pencils and bring your appeals to the VHS media center. The meeting starts at 8 p.m.
