Drs. Sally and Bennett Shaywitz, the co-founders of the Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity will be the keynote speakers of an event on dyslexia at Rider University in May.
Sponsored by Decoding Dyslexia-NJ and Rider University’s Counseling Center, Disabilities Services and Council for Exceptional Children Chapter, the event will look at effective instructional strategies and technologies and how can parents, teachers, administrators and policy makers can help dyslexic children.
The event will run from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, at Rider University’s Yvonne Theater in Lawrenceville. In addition to the Shaywitzs and a panel discussion on the changes needed to effectively address dyslexia today, the event will also include a screening of “The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia”.
