MyVeronaNJ-Public-Library-SlideThe Friends of the Verona Public Library invites Verona families to spend Family Night at the Verona Public Library on Wednesday, March 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

This Family Fun Night, geared toward children in preschool through fourth grade, will feature bedtime stories read by Verona Public Library Children’s Librarian Ms. Ashley, performances by Holly Whitmore Denton, owner of Music Together® of Verona, games, crafts and puzzles. Children can come in their pajamas to enjoy this fun night of activities – and milk and cookies (generously donated by DiPaolo Bakery in Verona) will be served for dessert.

Each academic year, the Verona School District identifies two “family nights.” On Family Night, no homework is given and sports and club activities are not held to encourage family bonding time.

“This is the first time the Friends will be hosting a Verona Family Night event, and the Library will be open late for this one-of-a-kind event,” said organizer and Friends member Jodi Cappello. “This is a great opportunity for families to spend Verona Family Night together having fun with others right here at our town library, which is a center of community and family activity in our town.”

Family Fun Night at the Library is free and advance registration is encouraged. Families can register by e-mail or through the Library’s Web site.
