The Verona High School wrestling team will be taking on Bloomfield High School Wednesday evening, but both teams will be looking to pin a far bigger foe: Alzheimer’s disease.
At the suggestion of Mark Riggio, a VHS freshman who lost his grandmother to Alzheimer’s, the wrestlers will be wearing purple, the signature color of the disease, and collecting donations for the Alzheimer’s Association.
The match is at home at VHS and begins at 6 p.m.
