On Friday, the Verona-Glen Ridge hockey team took on Montville High School at Codey arena. Prior to the start of the game, VGR continued a tradition by honoring the team’s seniors. All senior mothers were presented with a bouquet of flowers.

Though the game was entertaining and exciting, Montville prevailed with a 4-2 victory. Jake Biondi, VGR’s goalie from Glen Ridge, saved 27 shots on net.

His VGR team members had 29 shots on Montville’s net. Sean Gluzburg, a Verona High School junior, had the first goal for VGR making the score 3-1. Connor Duffus, a Glen Ridge High School sophomore, scored VGR’s second goal.
