Brianna DaRin, a senior at Verona High School, was among the 150 young women honored by the National Association for Girls and Women in Sports at Seton Hall University on Saturday, January 27.

The organization and the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, were marking National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The day, which was established by Congress in 1986, celebrates athletic and academic achievements by women. The theme of this year’s gathering was “Girls in Sports, An Investment in the Future”.
