If you have an alarm at your home or business that can be heard outside the building, you are required by law in Verona to register it with the Verona Police Department. And that registration must be updated annually.
If it’s been a while since you’ve done this, or if you’ve missed this bit of paperwork, the Police have put the necessary form to fill out online. Just download it and turn it in at Town Hall.
And you might want to also make sure that your alarm has a timing device that shuts the sound off within 30 minutes. You can be fined if you have three false alarms in any calendar year.
