Tickets for the Verona High School Concert Band’s Carnegie Hall performance went on sale today. The band is performing as part of the Eastern Wind Symphony’s spring gala on Friday, March 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be ordered through the Carnegie Hall box office online.
In addition to the Eastern Wind Symphony and VHS, there will also be performances by the Roxbury High School Symphony Band, the Montgomery High School Wind Ensemble and the Bridgewater Raritan High School Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble.
The VHS concert band was invited last year to perform at Carnegie Hall, but needed to do substantial fundraising to cover the $12,000 cost. In December, Children Having Learning Differences (CHILD), presented Verona High School Band Director Erik Lynch with a check for $5,000 that got the band to its goal.
