If you’re a teenager with a band and you were hesitating about signing up for the teen band competition Cops & Rockers, hesitate no more: The grand prize is professional recording of one original song and the production of that song as a music video.

Cops & Rockers is organized by Verona PBA Local #72 and the Verona Music Parents Association. This year, the show will be held on Saturday, February 9, at 6 p.m. and it is open to bands from Verona and neighboring towns.

Participating bands will each perform one original song and two or three popular cover songs. Rocktec Music of Verona is providing the back line instruments, fog machines and PA equipment. The winning band will be chosen by audience vote. To get on stage this year, you’ve got to get in touch with Sgt. Greco. Drop him an email or text him at (973) 650-6910.

Tickets are $10 and will be sold in advance and at the door. If you can’t come, but want to make a donation, you can let Sgt. Greco know that too.
