The YMCA of Montclair will be holding “Putting Out the Fire”, a free seminar on advances in the treatment of chronic heartburn, on Thursday, January 24 at 7 p.m.

For many people, gastroesophageal reflux disease (more commonly known as GERD, acid reflux or heartburn) is a chronic condition that causes intense pain, keeps them from doing what they enjoy and can even lead to more serious illness when left untreated.

The seminar will be led by Dr. Nirav Rana from HackensackUMC Mountainside. For more information e-mail Carol Kearney or call 973-415-6131. The YMCA of Montclair is located at 25 Park Street, just off Bloomfield Avenue.
