The Children’s House in Verona has opened its fall registration. The Montessori preschool is also offering weekly open houses every Tuesday morning.
“We are excited to offer a flexible open-house schedule to meet the needs of busy parents,” said The Children’s House Director Coleen D’Alessandro.
Every Tuesday through the spring, The Children’s House will open its doors for prospective parents to see teachers and their students at work. Parents can observe two different programs—the Young Three Program, for students who will turn three by April of the current school year, and the Three to Six Program, for students turning three by October through age six.
“The Montessori Method, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is unique. It focuses on the individual child to maximize the child’s growth and development,” explained teacher Mary Clarke.
Parents interested in attending a Tuesday open house or scheduling a visit for a different day or time should call Coleen D’Alessandro at 973-857-1234 or email the school.
Established in 1966, The Children’s House is a non-profit, non-denominational Montessori preschool located at 26 Montrose Avenue.
The Children’s House Montessori Pre-school on Montrose Avenue has a special place in my heart. I was fortunate enough to have been able to send both of my sons there for their first “school” experience back in 1991 and 1996 respectively. They happily attended only three mornings per week for two years, and the experiences there helped to instill in both of them a love of learning and discovery which continues to this day. My sons still speak fondly of their nurturing teachers!
