Girls Basketball Beats Glen Ridge

The Verona High School girls basketball team improved its record to 2-1-0 on Thursday afternoon with a 52-27 blowout against Glen Ridge.

Senior Amanda Langan led the team with 17 points and 8 rebounds. But there was strong play all around: Julie Rosenberg with 14 points and 9 rebounds, Remy Sullivan had six points and 12 rebounds and Brielle Cummings had seven points and three assists. The girls, who fell to Bloomfield 38-28 earlier this week, are away at Butler High School tomorrow morning for an 11:30 a.m. start.
