Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. is inviting small businesses and businesses owned by women and minorities to a free workshop, “Small Biz News: Recover after a Disaster.” Organized by the Essex County Office of Small Business Development and Affirmative Action, the workshop will feature representatives from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and information about what services and financial support programs are available to help business owners recover if they were adversely affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The workshop will be Thursday, November 29, at 11 a.m. at the Essex County LeRoy F. Smith, Jr. Public Safety Building, 14th floor conference room, 60 Nelson Place in Newark.
