On Saturday, November 17, four Verona dads put their bike-riding skills to good use. Dennis Bertron, Dan Robinson, Rich Valera and Frank Trupia joined with 120 riders from across northern New Jersey to participate in Cycle Craft’s Turkey Bike IV. The guys rode seven miles from the Parsippany store to pick up turkeys, and then four miles to deliver the turkeys, which were destined for the Hillside Food Bank. They completed the ride with another 12 miles back to Cycle Craft. Robinson reported that the crowd of bikers, which had swelled from 80 last year, included “three tandem bikes, one bamboo bike and one dog.” It’s a community outreach moment that’s worth being a “Verona View”.
