With some Verona homes still without power and some street lights still out, a group of parents have organized an alternative to door-to-door treat-or-treating: A “trunk-or-treat” at the Verona Pool parking lot.

According to Verona Police Chief Doug Huber, families will be able to use the pool lot from 3 to 5:30 p.m. today. Kids will be able to walk from car to car (engines off, please) to pick up treats.

If you prefer to have your kids stay in your neighborhood, the Verona Police are asking that no child go out unaccompanied by a parent or adult guardian this year.
