Thanks to a new project at Montclair State University, news Web sites across New Jersey have banded together to deliver share news and report as a group. Hurricane Sandy is giving the New Jersey News Commons its first big test.
The box below is showing you a live feed of news, photos and videos from across the state. You’ll see updates from the Jersey Shore Hurricane News, a Facebook page with citizen reporters up and down the shore. You’ll also see news from Elizabeth Inside Out, an independently owned news site that covers some of the cities that may be the hardest hit by storm surge flooding. MyVeronaNJ.com has posted photos of the efforts to keep Verona Park Lake from flooding homes along the Peckman and some pre-storm photos from Barry Battista, a former Veronan who now lives in Belmar.
