In preparation for Hurricane Sandy, Judy and Margi Harney went to the Verona Department of Public Works garage on Saturday to fill free sandbags. Mike Nicholson was there too, taking a break from shoveling. The Verona DPW is offering up to six sand bags per household free of charge, but you have to bring your own shovel and do your own shoveling. More sand will be available on Sunday so it’s today’s “Verona View”.

“Verona View” is a new daily photo feature from MyVeronaNJ.com that highlights people, places and events in Verona, N.J. Take a photo with your camera phone, DSLR or anything in between and send it in. MyVeronaNJ.com will feature one reader photo every day. To submit your photo, email it,  or text it to 973-632-4015, or post it to our Facebook page.
