This just in from town government: There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Tuesday, October 30. There will be no leaf bag pickup or bulk pickup for the north side of town or garbage collection on Wednesday, October 31.
The town is asking you to not put any leaf bags out. The leaf dump on Commerce Court will be open around the clock from now until further notice.
Sand is still available at the Verona Public Works Garage at 10 Commerce Court but residents must bring their own bags.
The town is asking residents to please sign up for the Verona Police alert system Nixle.
